Kylie shared her experience – as an author of 6 published novels – of the traditional publishing profession, and Michael discussed the many options for self-publishing and the importance of professional standards.

Workshop 1: How strong is your idea? 
Literary agents and publishers say they’re looking for new voices and fresh voices, but some are also looking for very specific types of books. So should we write the book we want to write, or conform to genre?

Workshop 2: How to self-edit
Editing is just another word for writing. The editing process is often the most creative and exciting part of turning a first draft into a publishable book. We’ll look at the different stages of editing and share some hacks to help you self-edit.

Workshop 3: Getting it published An exploration of the traditional publishing model and the many self-publishing options. Lots of time for Q&A!
